I’ve heard many people say that lunar eclipse energy is chaotic and you should not cast during the eclipse. I don’t understand why the lunar eclipse energy is considered a chaotic energy. Where does this belief come from? Why do so many people consider this a time where spells should not be cast?

Just do what feels right. I don’t work well with full moons, so I rest. I’ll use the energy AROUND it but that’s just because I feel drained and crazy during the night of the FM. I think it’s all about where the practitioners head is during the time. Think about it this way, because the energy is more portent, you can do something a little less intense if you still would like to practice. I’ll be doing a tarot reading and some grounding meditations. Probably journal some shadow work. 😅

Chaos isn’t necessarily bad, in physics you learn that the universe is constantly gaining entropy or chaos basically, it’s a natural part of our world. I would argue you should absolutely cast as everything just feels more powerful during the lunar eclipse

I’ve heard of this before, but I honestly think it’s just fearmongering. Even if it is ‘chaotic’ energy, I’ll happily harness it for my spells and such. I feel it’ll make my spells more powerful and give my moon water an extra boost.

I honestly don’t know why some people think this. I personally plan to make a few jars of Moon Water as well as charge all my crystals. I personally feel this full moon blood moon is going to be powerful. I am looking forward to using that amazing energy in my spell work.

I don’t charge crystals or do spellwork during eclipses because I become chaotic. The energy is a little weird to me and I have problems focusing, but that isn’t unusual for me whenever things are different from the norm.

This isn’t a widely held belief. I have only seen this become a popular idea through fearmongering online, and have yet to find any reliable source to back it up.
At the end of the day, experiment and see what works for you. There aren’t any universal laws dictating when you should and shouldn’t do magic.

Never heard of this. It’s def a great time to cast a spell but maybe depending on what type of spell your trying to cast

Idk it seems like a newer idea. Tbh I really hadn’t heard of this until about 7-8 years ago and really the last 3-4 it has ramped up like ” everyone knows”…
Intense and chaotic are two separate things.

Here’s a personal example: a few years ago I did a love spell during an eclipse, thinking “there’s no way this can turn out bad”. That’s when various shit started happening which led to me realizing I’m actually polyamorous and getting so deep into said shit that I had to end a several year relationship which I never thought would end. Now of course this is a very short version, and since then I’m living my best life, but my point is: don’t underestimate chaotic eclipse energy. But don’t be afraid of it either.

Same beliefs were going around on reddit about the solar eclipse (new moon) several days ago. I’m curious where that comes from too–I always suspect random fearmongering of being a social media thing, but not sure. I had a great time during that eclipse personally, so whatever.

I did not hear that, only that is it more powerful and intensifies the already intense full moon energy.
That only eclipse i heard something similar about was the new moon eclipse, the one from 2 weeks ago.
But i think it really depends what you want to atchive in the end. That is how i “schedule” my rituals at least.
And this belief does sound tiktok-ish. -
If you know to take into account this event, absolutely a fantastic time to get some work in. But if you don’t take it into account you might not get the results you expected. Like if you skip rock in the lake to land or arc in a specific manner and then try to skip rocks in a river, if you don’t expect some changes in trajectory due to the movement of the water below it it’s not going to go exactly in the direction you intended.
Both can be chaotic, both have many variables to consider. We just get used to one set of variables and how they normally are effected so when the environment changes you have to adjust a bit. -
You’re the witch. You control the energy. Not the other way around. Cast when you want to.

Maybe just high energy..i didnt realize it was a lunar eclipse until an hour ago but i havent been able to sleep..overactive..im thinking it was the moon lol
